Follow what Luke and Cristal are up to these days

For such a time as this…

We show up to the park that our host scheduled for us to go and do evangelism.  Great park, the only problem is, not a lot of people.  I looked at it and my heart kind of sank, because I’m the one who is leading this group and I was hoping it would be in a place where there would be hundreds of people to listen and hear what we say, and to see the drama that depicts the freedom that we can have through Jesus, but here we were.  So I set up the sound system, and sent people to go and invite people to come and watch.  So, by the time we were about to start we probably had 35 people watching us do it.  We were hoping to have hundreds.  So, the kids did their drama shared their testimony and Pastor Jim got up and did a closing, and a call to receive Jesus.  Then we wrapped up, and then a lady came up and told Jim, “Thank you so much for doing this.  Me and my family were here to watch and listen to you, and I have been praying for my husband for a long time to become a Christian, and I feel like God sent you here as an answer to my prayers, that my husband would hear and see what Jesus can do.  Thank you so much. Thank you so much.”   By the end tears were streaming down her face.

It is amazing how God uses us, even when we least expect it.  But I know this, for such a time as this, I’m in Ecuador.
